Host- Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the premiere of "Dollars," the show where contestants can win up to 1 million dollars, and not even know it! That's right, contestants do NOT know how much they have won, but the audience and the viewers at home DO. We'll begin our climb in a few short minutes, but first, it's time for our Brain Battle game.

In a few moments, the names of five PRESIDENTS will appear on the screen in front of you. The first person to put them in the correct order chronologically will be our first player. Remember, you can submit as many answers as you want, but the first answer in the correct order will play. Fingers ready? Let's begin.

1)Zachary Taylor
2)Gerald R. Ford
3)T. Woodrow Wilson
4)Andrew Jackson
5)Chester A. Arthur

We have a winner! Someone submitted the correct answer! Here is the correct order:

4)Andrew Jackson
1)Zachary Taylor
5)Chester A. Arthur
3)T. Woodrow Wilson
2)Gerald R. Ford

Congratulations! What is your name?

Contestant- Howard Smith.

Host- Well, Howard, you won the Brain Battle in only 5.36 seconds. Are you ready to play for 1 million dollars?

Howard- I sure am.

Host- Great, Howard. We've shuffled your questions, so let's play. Here's question #1.

In what year did William Shakespeare die?

A)1711
B)1578
C)1616
D)1516

Howard- Well, thanks a lot for starting me off with a tough question. I'd like to use a HelpLine.

Host- Sure. The computer will randomly select two wrong answers to be eliminated.

A)1711

C)1616

Howard- Well, since I haven't won anything yet, I've got nothing to lose. Shakespeare seems too old to die in 1711, so I'll go with 1616.

Host- Is that your last answer?

Howard- Umm, yes.

DUM-DUM-DUMM (Scary Music)

Host- Howard?

Howard- Yes?

Host- You are CORRECT!!! Let's let the viewers at home know how much he's won.

($70,000)

Host- All right, Howard, you've answered Question One correctly, and its time for Question number Two. Remember, you have one HelpLine and three Banks remaining. Also, if at any time you miss a question, you will receive $50 for each question answered correctly, along with some nice parting gifts. Ready for Question Two?

Howard- I sure am.

Host- Here it comes.

In the periodic table, what element is listed with an atomic number of 105?

A)Polonium
B)Dubnium
C)Yttrium
D)Lawrencium

Howard- Man, these questions are tough. All I know is that it isn't Lawrencium, because that's the last one. I'll need to use the other HelpLine.

Host- Fine with me. Let's hope Lawrencium is left over.

A)
B)Dubnium
C)
D)Lawrencium

Host- Wow, the computer seems to be on your side today!

Howard- OK, I'll go with Dubnium.

Host- Is that your last answer?

Howard- Yes.

DUM-DUM-DUMM (Scary music)

Host- YOU'RE RIGHT! Let's see how much that question was worth.

($500,000)

Host- OK Howard, you've answered two questions, but you are out of HelpLines. Here comes question #3.

Finish the saying: Better late than _______.

A)Never
B)Always
C)On time
D)Really late

Howard- The answer is Never.

Host- Is that your last answer?

Howard- Yes.

DUM-DUM-DUMM (Scary music)

Host- You're right, of course! How much was that question worth?

($1,000)

Host- Let's look at Question #4 now.

Who painted "Herod's Feast"?

A)Da Vinci
B)Donatello
C)Giotto
D)Raphael

Howard- This looks hard, so I think I'll use a Bank.

Host- OK then. Here's how much you've won.

$571,000

Howard- Wow. That's a lot of money. I don't think I'll try to answer this one. I'd like to stop here and take the money.

Host- Congratulations, Howard! You've won $571,000.

Howard- Thank you.

Host- The question was worth $200,000, and the answer was B)Donatello. Thank you for watching, and we'll have more exciting questions next time on Dollars! We'll see you on our next program.
